I am a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the European Glaucoma Research Training Program (EGRET).
My PhD project is primarily to study Motion sensitivity in glaucoma : The study of cortical activity of motion processing in glaucoma patients. Structural and functional MRI technique such as pRF and connective field technique is applied. The research gaining may serve as a basis to develop better diagnostic techniques of glaucoma and progression monitoring in established glaucoma and rehabilitation.
As a subproject of it, changes in subcortical structure and its activity in glaucoma is to be studied. Main targets of this study are magno/parvocellular layers in Lateral Geniculate Nucleus.
