In 2015, following a successful grant bid for a Horizon2020 MarieCurie Innovative Training Network, the NextGenVis network, coordinated by Prof. Frans W. Cornelissen, came to life. In the years to follow, NextGenVis offered 15 excellent and enthusiastic PhD students a research and training environment led by some of the best visual neuroscience labs and companies in Europe. In February of 2019, NextGenVis held its final workshop in Pisa, Italy. During this week, scientific highlights were presented and its team members looked back at four years of collaborations, great neuroscience, exciting developments and, above all, an amazing network that will continue to unite “The Next Generation of Visual Neuroscientists”.
